Our Story

Albies Taxis Was Founded in the 1980s and ran from a small Office at the bottom of the Conge, Great Yarmouth. It was later purchased By Brothers Andrew (our current MD) and Neil in the early ’90s. At this time Albies Taxis was comprised of around 5 vehicles. Andrew and Neil envisioned providing a regular, reliable, all-year-round taxi service in the seaside town of  Great YARMOUTH. Albies then Moved to the current Location on Suffling Road Great Yarmouth. Albies now operates and Licences in the Great Yarmouth Brough, more than 240 vehicles.

Comprising of Hackney Carriages (Taxis), Private Hire Vehicles, Minibuses up to 16 seats, Wheelchair Vehicles, Small Freight Vehicles including Vans and Flatbeds. Albies provides employment for over 300 people in the local area.

Our Workshops

With our own DVSA-approved MOT workshops in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and our highly skilled professional technicians, you can trust that all our taxis, minibuses, private hire cars and coaches are as safe and reliable as they can be.

Our teams of professional and courteous taxi drivers, who regularly carry children and elderly throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, have all been police checked.

Drivers and staff 

We thrive on team efforts to make sure every customer’s need is fulfilled in the most efficient and friendly way possible. 

We randomly select vehicle tracking shift reports weekly, which provide information on speed, direction and driving hours. This helps monitor drivers and helps keep 100% satisfaction with all customers, staff and other road users. 

Our office staff are trained and monitored to ensure 100% satisfaction with any communication whether this is by telephone, fax, email or face-to-face at our office premises, our office staff are also more than happy to visit any customer that wishes for more information or has a query they would like to run by us in their own working environment.
